About Ogee
Ogee is based in Brighton and has been producing high quality hand-made pickups since 2022.
We work closely with suppliers here in the UK to bring the best quality magnets, wire and a whole host of other components together in our meticulously crafted pickups, in turn bringing your exquisite sound to life.
My name is Ollie Goward and I started winding pickups in 2018 and discovered that I loved it!
Everything from the first few winds to the feel of the hair-thin wire gliding through my fingers as it winds around the coil, to those first notes heard in sublime clarity, brings me joy.
and I have been toying and experimenting ever since. so in late 2022 I decided to start Ogee Pickups.
It all started when I attended the Guitar Tech Courses Pro Set-up course many years back and since then I’ve been working under James Collins, doing countless set-ups, guitar repairs of all kinds across the myriad of guitars and other string instruments out there. I always want to learn more about the nature of these instruments and how they truly work.
Me and James also make the boutique, hand-crafted guitars James Collins Guitars together and have worked closely to create the Ogee Speakeasy Humbucker to bring out the best in these sublime guitars.
